Teeva is an innocent, and her love for Terr, whom she has cared for since he was a tiny baby, is entirely maternal. Zoon, on the other hand, has a sadistic streak which she is ashamed of, and she struggles against it. Zoon loves and admires Teevas mother, Judy, who represents the conscience of the Draags.
